Thank you for your help. The code you gave me works. Let me tell you what I am trying to do: an Unix application passes over an image file. The Unix application will make a call to my program which is runing on a novel server. My program will first to check if MS Imaging Application is already running, if so, just update the image file. If the Imaging Application is not running, the program will create the object and open up the Imaging Application. Now I have to find a way to capture the information the system creates with the createobject() and store it in a file and I can use it when the Imaging Application is already running. Thanks again.
