wow, i actually can answer a question for someone......


to remove favorites from the start up menu in win 98 you simply need to add a registry value


in the registry go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

then add a dword value named "nofavoritesmenu" and give it a value of 1

restart machine and vwala no favorites
