There are a couple of ways for users set up their own preferences. Either and INI file or the resgistry are good place. However, some of the stuff (such as browse windows) VFP saves automatically in the resource file. Decide what's best for your users (or, better, what they want) and solve the problem from there. There are a lot of well qualified people here to give you a hand should you need it.
