Hi Neil,
>Do I have egg on my face? Is it that easy? All you have to do is install the driver and you can print to the printer like any other printer? I don't have a special need. I just want to print cfirstname + clastname kind of stuff.
It really depends, especially on the label size. The last time I looked at the printer driver, it could only handle the standard seiko label formats, but there are many companies out there that create special label formats for SLPs. further, it lacked a bit of control, for example it always created a larger border than technically necessary. And there are problems if you are switching often between different label formats. Beside that, I haven't seen a driver for Windows 2000 so far.
If this doesn't apply to you, the printr driver can be a good alternative to using the low level interface.
