Neil,
I've printed to 2 of these label printers, each from a different manufacturer. Each came with a CD of drivers, and it was a matter of hitting Yes or Ok a couple of times and we were in business.
Tips: Be sure to set the printer on landscape for a label that comes out end-on. You'll see right away when you try it. Also, you may want to install the printer at your machine to fine-tune the placement of the fields. We moved from one printer to another and I had to move the fields a little lower to work with the "printable page." Then move the printer to your user's machine. (Ours were both installed as local, not network.) Of course, if your reports are excluded from the project you can let the user MODIFY REPORT and tweak the fields a little higher or lower. In FPW I had to always PROMPT for the printer, but in VFP you may be able to direct it to that printer specifically and save a couple of clicks.
>>Hi Paul,
>>Do I have egg on my face? Is it that easy? All you have to do is install the driver and you can print to the printer like any other printer? I don't have a special need. I just want to print cfirstname + clastname kind of stuff.
