Mind if I butt in here. Nope, didn't think so. It's live alright, but not necessarily the Blues. I go to the one here in LA everyonce in a while. You can check out the schedule at www.hob.com. But I checked today and they haven't filled in the schedule for the week we'll be there, yet.

However, me being the kind of guy I am, I was checking the message board on the web site for the New Orleans Jazz Fest (which we'll miss by 2 weeks unfortunately). I find some messages where a couple people were discussing nightclubs in NO. I followed some links and now have a listing of nightclubs in NO broken down by geographic area, along with the type of music featured in each club.

If you're bored I can fax you some of the list and you can call them to find out who's playing where, when we are there.

>I have a quick question ... not knowing anything at all about New Orleans, can you tell me if the House of Blues has live blues music? I would imagine it *is* live, but I just wanted to know a little more about it.

>>Plans have just been completed for "Mardi Gras" night (Tuesday) at the NOLA conference (http://www.vfpdevcon.com). Conference attendees will be assembling for a New Orleans-style parade, immediately following the last session on Tuesday, to the House of Blues. Highlighting this event will be a hosted bar featuring beer, wine, and soda, as well as an outrageous dinner. The New Orleans Police Department is closing down Canal Street for the parade, so come one and all. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
