I have various VFP programs that I am trying to connect to various DB sources, such as ACCESS97 and SQL7.0, as well as foxpro datafiles. I know I need some kind of ODBC interface, but I don't want to have to go and touch each machine that my VFP programs are loaded on. I setup complied programs on the network, with a setup routine to load to program on a computer by the user, but the data connections don't follow the code. Some one once said to use SQLSTRINGCONNECT(), but I'm not completely sure of the syntax or if that will even work. Anyone out there have any info to be able to enlighten me???
