What I'd recommend is to buy a tool to help build a professional resume - I've been very pleased with ResumeMaker Pro, which can export Word documents based on your answers to directed sets of questions, then allowing you to create several formats and directed versions of the resume based on your information and business target. It's relatively inexpensive, and does a competent job, and once it generates the resume, you can alter the document at will.
