No, it's not, but instead you may provide a way for each user to have
one of its own, and initially copy the defaults from a template resource
file you supply with the app. Say a new user comes in and
cRsrcfile="users\"+cUserName+".dbf"
if not file (cRsrcFile)
use defaults.dbf share noup
copy to (cRsrcFile)
use
endif
set resource to (cRsrcFile)
This way, each user has one resource file for himself, and the initial
state of windows etc is given in it at the time user first logs in. This
info doesn't have to be anything much - I did this in FPD2.6 for a
specialistic clinic, and it initially contained only color sets (ever
tried a character - based app on a system with ten different
combinations of mono-VGA cards + monitors?). Some days ago there was
talk here of storing the info on "print preview toolbar without the damn
print button" into such an initial resource.
