The first thing I teach is to subclass all controls. A good example is the textbox - subclass textbox once, then subclass that three times: one for text, one for numeric, one for dates. Makes app development so much easier later.

For instance I just want to use a form template ( pageframe with several pages and with a grid on one page and listbox on other). What benefits of using subclassed grid and listbox instead of base ones.
