With SQL Server 7.0, MSDE installation includes DTS and some management tools. Apparently, with SQL Server 2000, MSDE is truly just a database engine. Nothing more. If you need some management tools, you have to go to Personal Edition.

But, OTOH, you can always use Access 2000 to make up for the management tools, right?
