...Since DOJ is the plaintiff and MS is the defendant, I think that DOJ should be listed first.

It is beginning to look likely that there's going to be a big push to break MS into pieces. Maybe they could split out end user from developer products or consumer from business products.

That would put MS Office and Access and Win95/Win98 into one MS. FoxPro and Visual Studio and Back Office and Windows NT/2000 would go into another MS. Maybe even Internet Explorer could break into two products. IE5 could go to the consumer group but Windows CE and any future platform for internet appliances would go into the business products group.

I still think that the stock market valuation of multiple Microsoft's could be greater than a single Microsoft. I also think that both Microsoft's would find a way to work together.

Rather than experiment with a remedy that produces uncertain results in the future, I think that I favor an approach of fine them and move on.
