Here is what I have found

When I have Contents bar set to _mst_help
and Search bar set to _mst_hpsch

In ctrapp.afterinstallapp(), I SET HELP TO helpfile.

Then, during run-time, when I look at Help on the menu, both Contents and Search are not available(greyed out).

For testing, I put a button on a form that pops up a messagebox with the file name that help is set to, it then does another SET HELP TO helpfile command and immediately issue a HELP command. When I click on the button, it shows me that indeed, the set help command is pointing to correct help file. When the HELP command is issued, the help file pops up fine. I then can go to the Help and Contents and Search are both available (not greyed). Now when I click on Contents, it pops up the help file but places me on a page that shows nothing. The tabs are available so I can click on tab Search or tab Contents. Also when I click on Search from the Help menu, it places me on the Contents tab of the help file. SO it looks like help is not really being set at init (ctrapp.afterinstallapp), but rather is being set at run-time. Furthermore, I am apparently using the wrong bars.

When I change Contents bar by setting it to _MSYSTEM this change occurs. When I run the application, I notice that under the Help on the menu, Contents is available. However, when I click on contents, nothing happens. Now when I click on the button on the form to SET HELP TO help file, the help file is set and help displays as mentioned before. However, now when I click on Contents under Help, I get nothing.

Well, help this help point to the right solution. Thanks.

George

PS - I knew when I mentioned VMP4 I would get a response from you. Haha. Thanks for your time.
