I have fixed this problem copying the DLL files on my computer to the windows\system (system32 on NT) directory of the client computer.
I have always copied sql*.dll but probably not all of them are required.

I've searched high and low for a way to install the current SQL ODBC driver without having to run the CD on every machine. I think there used to be a product called ODBCinst.exe that installed the SQL 6 driver. How do I install the SQL 7 driver?
