>I have been experiencing a number of problems which I believ may be due to VFP handling of a larger number of users. From 50-100 users, the app seems to remain fairly stable. But somewhere between 100-150 users the application begins having numberous errors that just don't occur without the large volume of users. I am theorizing that VFP is lossing network connections, or is timing out waiting for a file to be returned from the Novell server causing "Error Reading File", "File Access Denied" etc. My questions to all you is what do we know about VFP connectivity to a network? Will it continue to try for a file until it gets it, or does it timeout and then try using the file returning "Error Reading File" or some other error?

>However, I found that if I opened a network table in foxpro and then disconnected from the network, and then returned to foxpro the error would occur.

>PS - Any Network related hints/tricks/issues/suggestions are also very welcome. I am trying extensively to understand further how vfp interacts with the network.

If you do get anywhere on the Invalid Seek Offset, let me know as I too have seen this error. We work with exe's on local machines and drawing data on a Novell network. We have two users who are the hard core drawing managers, they get this error occaisionally. The only two (at least who report it). Let me know if you get anywhere on this I would appreciate it.
