I always use the Query Analyser to write/update stored procedures, not the Enterprise Manager.

I also took the habbit of saving my stored procedure in a local file for easy update, but using sp_helptext procname will give you your code, so you can copy and paste it into the editing area of the Query Analyser.

HTH!

>Unless I'm missing something, in SQL 7 the editing window for stored procedures is modal, which prohibits things like launching Transact-SQL Help or taking a look at table properties or lots of other useful things. Is there some alternative? I thought I could do edit SQL SPs through Visual InterDev 6 but it only allows me to execute the sp, not edit it.
