Steven,

>I have a VFP application that locks up when calling some in process COM servers. I was looking for a way to detect the problem either with my code or the in process COM server. Can this sort of thing be detected and is there a tool that works with VFP to do it.

Are the COM servers written in VFP? If so, do they have any user interface elements (which are not allowed), or could you be possibly having a data path problem which would cause an error message or a dialog to find the dbf? COM servers usually start up in the Windows system directory, so you have to SET PATH or open tables with complete path information.

Do you have an error handler in the COM server that can return an error message instead of hanging (when the error should display but can't)?
