I have this problem guys, I was testing my App for network errors and this is what happened. While stepping through the code I disconnected my network cable from my machine, waited about a minute or two and replaced the network cable. My app realised that the connection was severed and thus tried to re-connect to the SQL Server Database .... but alas it could not re-connect. Even other apps that were not running during the test could not connect to their sql datases on the same server. (NB. All APPS connect to their databases using an ODBC connection and all databases are on the same server.)


got any ideas anybody as to why this happens and how i can solve it without asking the client to re-start the machine.
