Thanks for the tip, that worked fine (it's a kludge, but it works fine <grin>). I don't know if the writer of that FAQ entry realized it, but the "TO PROMPT" clause means create a text file called PROMPT.TXT" From the FAQ, he makes it sound like he thinks it will go to the screen or something.
