One extremely important point I should mention. vfp5 cannot trap these errors, but vfp6 can.
If you do an upgrade to vfp6 (at least for testing), you can run it through the debugger, and it will cathch the ISO code lines perfectly. vfp5 is utterly helpless on ISOs.
When I moved to 6, it did not solve the ISO problem, but it least I know where the problems are now.
