I'm not sure I understand what you are suggesting by "importing". If you mean for the worksheet to be saved as a DBF from Excel, that is not an option: the files I will be receiving from the client are in XLS format.

>Are you appending the entire sheet? If so, try importing the sheet into VFP, then append from there. You can do the import directly in VFP or from Excel saving as dbase4.
