Chris,
DevCon is fun! And since this is a
NEW DevCon it promises to be very fun!
However, DevCons in the past for me have been places to get ideas not necessarily get hard-core expertise. They showed me the possibilities. When I got home I had to make the time to research the nitty gritty to find out how something worked I saw at DevCon worked.
DevCon won't make you a better programmer (IMO). But it will show you how good someone can be. You'll probably have to take the class too.
Just my opinion.
