Chris,

I suggest that you go to the New Orleans DEVCON and focus on many of the session topics that target your weak areas of VFP knowledge. There are plenty of beginner-level classes, all the way up to very advanced.
You will learn a great deal just from talking with other developers in between classes, at mealtimes, while strolling through the French Quarter, and in the inevitable impromptu small gatherings.
The materials you will bring away from the conference include 2 training videos, a subscription to CODE magazine, several free CD's, and a conference CD with White Papers written for each of the sessions being taught (not just an outline), and sample code.
And, it's fun, too. I wouldn't hesitate at all to send you to DEVCON first, then assess later if you need any additional formal training.
