Grorge,

>Sounds like the people we bought the house from in 1981. After they sold it, they bought another house, sold that, and bought the house right across the street. Can't tell you how many of our "sports spheriods" have been lost to them.
>
>Unfortunately, our yards aren't much good for such activities. Too many trees in the front, and a pretty good slope in the back. The driveway, however, is perfect. There's usually a basketball game going on on the weekends, but it, and the street in front of the house (virtually no traffic, BTW) have seen their share of baseball, football, and various and sundry other sporting events have taken place there.

>The front yard shows it too. There are two portions of bare earth around the second basketball goal, a bare spot where "first base" once was. Then, since the boys have gotten older and the yard has had to serve a a parking lot as well, that's created a couple of more spots, and then the shady area where the grass died.

>The backyard is worse since it's been dug up twice for different problems with the septic system. That's got to be completely tilled up and re-seeded.

Well, it just baffles me why someone would be so funny about stuff like that but I suppose they are equally baffled about me being so relaxed about it. <g>

Now... I must confess that I've had to hold myself back from taking an empty fertilizer spreader some week and walking around once a night, every night, just to see what happens. *evil grin* Pretend I'm doing something to my lawn to drive him crazy. <g>

Best,
