Hi Cathy,

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond to your suggestion. The report does call a UDF in the page footer but it only
formats the date printed information. However, I have discovered what I think is the problem. Earlier in the program
a table is created and it is from that table that the report is printed. An index is created for the table that consists of
several fields one of which is a date field. At the time the table is created an ORDER BY is also performed.. Just before
the report is printed, there was a USE table-name INDEX table-idx. When I took off the INDEX part, it worked correctly.
I have heard since discovering this that FoxPro/VFP doesn't deal well with date fields in an index. It appears that this
is my problem.

Thanks for you time and interest in helping me solve this problem.

Rena

PS. Ms Paltiel and Ms Peisch, I am forwarding this to you two ladies since you also had suggestions to help me
solve this problem. My thanks to you too for your willingness to help me solve this problem.
