Have you tried the SuperCache patches for Citrix that have been mentioned here recently? They seem to have dramatically helped with VFP refresh times for some who have tried it, and might save you a rewrite.

When you get there search for ME180010 & then click on the links containing the word 'Supercache', then look for ( F) 'Foxpro'.
My co-worker downloaded one of these hotfixes today & installed it on one of our Citrix Servers & checked out the speed. He later called me and said it appears that the screen paints 2 or 3 times faster. We are still not sure if this is the solution but it looks very promising. Please let me know if you try this & learn anything. I'll do the same.
