Sounds like you need a few less schizophrenic company executives. Maybe less multiple personalities and more actual personalities. :)

If/when i become a consultant, i'll have to make a point of enlightening the client about the tradeoff between "quick release" and "quality release" (In the end, it costs the same in time/money AND headache)
