If you look at it from the view of someone reading the code and not the one writing the code it makes a lot of sense. You don't have to memorise anything to read
MB_YESNO+MB_ICONEXCLAMATION+MB_DEFBUTTON2 and understand it. If it was numbers, you would have to go look them up.
