>Well I think that's pretty cool. My question is now how did you learn about CREATEOBJECT("MsWinsock.Windock")? I know there are others like CREATEOBJECT("MSExcel.Sheet") or something like that and I'm just wondering how many other objects there are out there for me to play with. Perhaps a book or a good site somewhere? Or do I just need to put a few more coding years under my belt!
Actually you just need to look around here. I credit this little tidbit to Erik Moore. He posted it in answer to another person's problem and I just happen to remember it because I thought it was cool too.
The MSDN Online Library (
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp) is a good source. The Win32 SDK is another good source. If you find a WinAPI function that does something you like, chances are that someone has already put a COM wrapper around it to make it more universally accessible (VFP, VB/VBScript, VC++, JavaScript).
