Unfortunately not being a IE guru, I cannot tell you how to do this. But I can tell you absolutely that it is possible. My IE happens to be set to do exactly what you want. Press cntrl-n and the new copy is the same size as the old. It is probably a setting buried somewhere in the menus. After all IE is famous for its intuitive menu structure..
