long time no mention of beer, this is a weird one, I upgraded three machines to Win2k, I think I applied the same setup to them all, however, two of them behave as before and installed in the Windows directory, whereas the problematic machine has installed in the Winnt directory, I've tried all the obvious options from within C++ and reinstalled it, all to no avail, maybe I'll Fdisk it and start all over, all the machines were previously running W95

n.b. I don't like posting non VFP questions on UT but I don't know of any similar groups for C++, I've tried a few newsgroups but the quality of replies are mostly very questionable, thanks again.
