My view on this one would be that it is not only myself I am putting at risk, it is also my client & at the end of the day that is the person I am being paid to minimise the risk to.

I agree that this (& a few other things) make VfP a pain to use, but if it's the tool I am required to use (in my limited experience, I would say the best too), then I still feel that I should use the best practices I know, even if it is a pain.
