Does everyone know about this behavior but me?

CREATE TABLE MyTable (PK I)
INDEX ON PK Tag PK
INSERT INTO Mytable (PK) VALUES (1)
SEEK 1 IN MyTable ORDER PK
SEEK "1" IN MyTable ORDER PK

Both work. What gives?
