>Here's an off the wall one for you. Does anybody have an idea how one would go about establishing IP services in Nigeria? There are IPs there, but apparently the market is underserved and is wide open. At any rate, there is an interest in establishing / brokering or otherwise providing IP services locally in the country. Any suggestions as to where to start?

A dear friend of mine was murdered in Nigeria a couple of years ago. He had been visiting there regularly for nearly 15 years and was well known and liked by the locals. He frequently mentioned that officials were as corrupt as the criminal elements. Being well known and liked didn't help. It is a dangereous place. The extortion payments alone would guarantee that you would sooner or later go broke. Probably sooner.
