I'm not *positive* but I don't think you can do this with the native VFP grid control. There are, however, many other grid controls out there that will do this. Take a look in the FILES section of the UT and the Hallogram site for commercial stuff. Most of the frameworks around also have better grid controls than the one that comes with VFP (v5.0 anyway - don't know about v.6). For what it's worth, I've always *hated* the VFP grid control <
