Thanks for the insight. I agree with the "overhead" statment. There is a definite delay in the loading of the form having 7 views in the dataenvironment. I wasn't sure if I the "Activate" event of the page was the place I wanted to do this, but I'll give that a try. Thanks.

By putting my views in the data enviornment even though I set nodataonload to .T. it still has a lot of overhead just loading the views without the data. I'll probably end up pulling them out of the data environment and loading the views and data when the page is activated. This is something to consider if you think you'll be using your VFP front end over the Internet.
