Thanks for the reply and info. I was very frustrated with the problem. Especially without even knowing that the problem was occurring. No Errors reported is a major problem. It is amazing that this one is still out there like this. Since the record count is wrong and the file size is known that should be a way to catch it in the database engine.

Well I'm glad I'm not alone on this one. But it is scary to know that your data can get screwed up from this problem and not even know it. How many times have you encountered this and how have you checked for it?
