I did not do a good job expressing my need.
I'm not concerned with the format of the time. I'm interested in having the current time returned when the user selects a date and not just (what seems to be a default time when you use this calendar) 12:00 AM for ever entry.
I know that there has to be a quick and "elegant" soludtion to this tiny problem.
