>>Does anyone know if there will be better support for using a VFP backend database in a ASP/ADO web application? It seems that there are many problems with the current support such as the lack of OLEDB connections to VFP (straight ODBC only), and other little quirks with recordset types not being supported, and problems with updating and inserting into a VFP memo field (sometimes). I'm using a hosting company that installs very few components to work with, so unfortunately using WWWC is not possible...just using the basic ASP/ADO, some scripting and VID as my IDE. I guess I'm looking for a few suggestions/Tips/Techniques from anyone using these technologies, and if what I'm doing has some life, or will I need to re-think my development strategies in the very near future.

Hi Craig,

No, unfortunately my hosting co. will not install anything that is not on their standards list. Speaking of hosting services, is there a co. that you would recommend for VFP support so I could start working on some COM components?

Thanks.

John.
