'Lo all. This evening I swapped a 10 Gb Maxtor drive containing data into my home-built box (Athlon 500 on a FIC SD-11 motherboard, 128 Mb 133 Mhz RAM, blah-blah...). Jumpered the drive for master and put it on the secondary IDE. Went to BIOS on boot and set it to auto-detect the drive, which it did with no problem. My thought that it was going too well was confirmed when '95c loaded, no sign of the drive. I've hit one of those dumbfounding walls here, the BIOS sees it, why not the OS?

TIA
