Nick,

You might also try the Quality Inn in Gretna, Louisiana, about 2.5 miles east. It's where I'll be staying during DevCon, and they seemed to have several rooms (with free parking). It's across the Pontchartrain River from downtown, but it's closer than 9 miles (g). Call the 800 number and give them a shot.

>>Hi Nick,

>>After some looking, the only one I've found is the Sleep Inn Central Business District at 334 O'Keefe Avenue. They're about two-tenths of a mile southwest from the Sheraton, and they have rooms starting about $65 a night (a king room was $80.10 per night). Two caveats: if you have a car, they also hit you for $12.50 a night parking, and I'm not sure if they have an airport shuttle.
>>
>>Their direct phone number is 504/524-5400, and the toll-free number for Choice Hotels International (the parent company of Sleep Inn, Quality Inn, and several others) is 800/4-CHOICE. You can also go to www.guestprivileges.com and make reservations online.

>>HTH.

>>>Hi All,
>>>
>>>I am going to stay in New Orleans for the weekend after DevCon. I am trying to find cheaper hotel/motel under $100 but wasn't successful so far. Anybody have any ideas/information?
