Dear all

"Im making a rewrite this message because a part of the last message was writed in spanish and its possible to generate confusion (please sorry!)."

I have an application depeloved in VFP6.0 who connects to a SQL SERVER Database using a DSN ODBC

right in this moment i'm testing it with a Microsoft Acces Database
with tables constructed very similary as the SQL SERVER .

I have to say that the application and the database are in the same computer (Stand Alone)

The fact that my user need now is the next:

The database (in SQL SERVER) must to be located in a computer server o a network who has RAS (Remote Acces Service) In ARGENTINA (!!)
and the user is in USA (conected via RAS)

i see that there are only Two Options (its the reason why i need your help!)

1. to Install the application in the user computer
setting the odbc connection to the argentina server using the ODBC32 in the panel control.

Create an script(using SQL SERVER) who generates the database and sen it (the script) to argentina where an Operator run it and automatically construct the database.
and connect my application with that database.

2.send the setup application files to Argentina even the script to generate the database and wait that an operator in argentina instal the progran in a server an then run the script to constrict the database (and maybe wait tha he make the settings to conect both(?))
and let the user conect with the server using RAS.

in both cases i need to know who is the best option , or maybe if any of you have a BETTER option to make all that (its the firts time that i make an application with this cHaracteristics.

i wanna know to if there are any tools to make automatically all that facts required to this application (or make it more easier).

Thanks in Advance .

best Regards.
happy to learn of all the world
