Thanks, it is a dropdown combo now and this means I can set the input mask to control the length of the input. ie When I key in data it now moves to the next field ok using Return 1 in the valid.

Are you saying that clicking in the list will never move the cursor foward even with a Return 1 in the valid. THis is whats happening. If I click in the list the combo never looses focus. Could I put some code somewhere else to make this happen, like the click method or selected method. What do you think?
