Column1 must be changed in order to move onto column2. Else if column1 is no changed, as soon as the user hits tab, the focus should got to next record down in column1 (bearing it's not eof). If the user does change column1 value, then the focus should go to column2. Thank for you help anyways.

Not me personally, :-) but it forced us to shut down our Exchange and Novell servers and clean them. We're back up now but still getting occurrences of the infected messages running around.

I would handle the focus issue in the Lostfocus of the Textbox of Column1. You can test for change of data there and if it was changed you can do a SKIP 1 to move to the next record. Of course this is just "basically" what you do. You'll need to test for EOF() etc. and any other conditions you need and take appropriate action based on what the user did.
