I've carefully watched the FoxPro job market. It definately runs in cycles and is hot in many areas of the country, while others don't ever have FoxPro positions.

There are several reasons why a recruiter would push the developer toward Fox:

- The recruiter is paid on commission, typically a percentage of the first-year salary. If the developer makes more money, the recruiter does too.

- Because of a shortage of Fox developers, the pressure is high at many recruiting firms to find FoxPro developers. Often bonuses are awarded if these hard-to-fill postitions are actually filled.

I agree that skills learned in FoxPro will benefit developers in other areas.
