I don't think ours costs anything, but it's intended as a back-up if the cable modem fails. Not sure what they'd do if I used it on a regular basis.
That's not too bad of a price. Better than looking at ads. :)

>Good call. The cable ISP offers dial-in service for a one-time startup fee of CAN$14.95 plus $0.25 per dial-in session. I'll have to check further to see if this is reasonable for her usage pattern.
