We have used LeadTools since it was a DOS JPEG only library. Its very reliable and has all the image processing functionality you could want. I have used the medical, OCR, image processing, dialogs librarys successfuly in VFP 6. Their is a problem with the main OCX control when you introduce scrollbars, I (and others) have reported this to Lead and they are dealing with it.

One of the first things you should do is edit the l_fox.h file and strip out the show effects preprocessor definitions so that VFP does not grind to a halt every time it compiles method code in the form designer.

They do not give examples for using some of the newer modules like OCR but if you want I can give you examples of doing this.

If you are use any of the 50+ image formats it supports then I suggest you standardise on their CMP format. Its a lot better than JPEG/JFIF/DCT in terms of quality and compression ratios.
