The Query Analyzer provides an interface to type in commands. I would suggest you buy a book about T-SQL (Transaction SQL). The normal SQL syntax you used with VFP/FoxPro still works but that is only a subset of the language supported by SQL Server. I recommend Osborne's SQL Server 7 - The Complete Reference by Gayle Coffman. It's part of the Database Professional's Library series.
