Why not? Lift your eyes off the screen every once in a while, it may be
worth the while. Walk the street, see some new/old faces, notice the
seasons' change :)
For real reason, keeps you in touch with the reality, and, besides, some
persons have problems with offline communicating. I notice I have an
opposite problem (the better I write, the worse I speak), so it's
probably good to see some people, otherwise you can't communicate well
with them. Sometimes it's just the customer who can't give you a good
explanation in a document or over the phone, lots of people _must_ use
their hands and mimic.
I see my programmers about two or three times a week, but I often come
to the office just to see the secretary :)
