I'm not sure either - but it's probably worth testing without that somewhat unusual order of actions, just to rule it out, at least.

BTW, I solved (mostly, anyway) my ISO problem yesterday by doing the following: I copied my entire DB directory to new place, and ZAPped all the tables and removed all the indexes, then validated the DBCs. Since my app will not run without a little data, I created a few fresh test records with new indexes, just enough to get the app to function. The result? No more errors, clean as a whistle. Today I'm going to build the DB up larger, and continue testing. But at least I know the problem is data-related now, major progress.

I would advise you do the same at this point, if you haven't yet. It was a real breakthrough for a very thorny bug.
